During the public performance the visitors experienced the pool in a completely altered state: the space was transformed into a theatrical stage unfolding a choreographed playful interaction between two swimmers and two singers. The sound-score, composed and performed by Maggie Nicols in response to the swim style and movement of swimmers created an unusual dialogue with one ‘swimming the melody’ and the other ‘swimming the drone’.
The artwork was commissioned by Holy Hiatus and accompanied by a symposium at the Small World Theatre in Cardigan.
